Reasonably large campsite. Very large pitches for touring campers in the middle of the grounds. There is a lake next to the campsite. The site borders a large recreation park with a restaurant and fishing pond. There is also a snack bar on the site itself.

Travelling party: Seniors

Large campsite with generous grass pitches and plenty of taps. Very secure gated entry. Reception and cafe on the side of a lake. Free WiFi that worked across the site. The facilities are modern and clean, though entry is complicated by use of a swipe card requiring a 50 Euro deposit. This card is also used to PAY for hot water at the basins and at grubby outdoor wash-up sinks, as well as for use of laundry machines. The only free hot water (for ACSI card holders only) is at one shower in the Ladies and one in the Gents, provided that Reception adjusted your swipe card accordingly. Automation gone far too far! But it was a convenient stopover site at a fair price, only 7 km from the A2 motorway. We didn't explore locally due to wet weather.

  • Follow Eindhoven-Hasselt as far as Houthalen. Then turn left towards 'Park Midden-Limburg'. At the second roundabout, near the furniture store, turn left towards the campsite and follow the signs.
